PLANT BASED DIGESTIVE ENZYMES ARE VERY SPECIFIC.

What is the difference between pancreatic enzymes, animal based enzymes and non-animal enzymes?

Total-Zymes® does NOT contain any animal based enzymes and here is why;

Supplemental pancreatic, plant, and microbial enzymes are all designed to enhance digestion. However, plant and microbial enzymes use a "proactive" approach and begin working on foods sooner after ingestion.

Pancreatic enzymes do not go to work right away. Pancreatic enzymes usually begin working approximately 30 minutes after food reaches the stomach

Because of their stability in the acidic environment of the upper stomach, plant and microbial enzymes can begin their digestive action immediately after the food reaches this region.

With the increased exposure to digestive enzyme activity, food has a better chance of being broken down into small, more readily absorbed particles.

Non animal sourced enzymes:

pet enzymesDerived from plants or selected microorganisms by the process of natural fermentation

pet enzymesActive in a broad pH range (approximately 3.0 - 0.0)

pet enzymesActivated in upper stomach and continues working through the entire digestive track

pet enzymesBegin working immediately

pet enzymesBroad action on a variety of foods for complete digestion

pet enzymesCompletely safe with no upper dosing limit

Enzymes will only digest the exact food type for which they are named. As an example lipase will digest only lipids or fats as they are commonly called. A digestive product that contains only four, five or six enzymes will do a poor job digesting the complex ingredients of today's high quality pet food.

Lipase will not do anything to digest protein or carbohydrates. For complete digestion you must include all the different enzymes in a product to digest each type of food ingredient.

Some companies say you do not need so many enzymes and some are not needed, they just do not know their science. NWC Naturals® are experts in the field of enzymes and probiotics with over 50 years experience.

All the enzymes in Total-Zymes® play an important role in helping the pet's health and digestion.

Here is The New List of Enzymes in the new improved Total-Zymes®

List of Enzymes List of enzymes our Total-zymes® for pets includes
Protease 6.0 Is used to break down proteins to peptides. It will not digest protein to amino acids. A second enzyme is necessary for that to happen.
Protease 3.0 Is used to break down proteins in a different PH range.
Protease 4.5 Is used to break down proteins in a different PH range then the other two.
Peptidase Help digest protein molecules. Four varieties of protease enzymes have been combined in this formula to compensate for higher protein diets of pets.
Amylase An enzyme that breaks down sugars and starches. Good for those hidden sugars in pet treats. And helps digest corn, potatoes, rice ect.
Alpha-Galactosidase This enzyme breaks down carbohydrates, such as vegetables, whole grains. It can help prevent the gas and other gastrointestinal symptoms.
Beta-Glucanase This enzyme is used to breakdown carbohydrates, specifically starches.
Diastase Sometimes called maltase, is an enzyme that is the catalyst in the hydrolysis of disaccharide maltose to the simple sugar form - glucose.
Lipase Will digest only lipids or fats as they are commonly called. Lipase will not do anything to digest protein or carbohydrates.
Cellulase Works on Cellulose, an indigestible fiber found in many fruits and vegetables.
Pectinase Breaks down fruit and vegetable pectins and aids in detoxifying and lifting heavy metals in pets. A much needed enzyme for your pet.
Phytase Breaks down carbohydrates, specifically phytates in plants. It can increase mineral absorption and the bio-availability of iron, zinc, calcium, and magnesium. A needed enzyme to help digest pet food with potatoes or carrots ect.
Hemicellulase Is used to breakdown carbohydrates, especially polysaccharides such as hemicelluloses, which are found in plant foods.
Bromelain Is most notable for its effectiveness in normalizing inflammation and decreasing swelling. As a natural systemic enzyme with many uses.
NEW! Lactase Helping digest, Lactose and milk sugars. Lactase is required to break down lactose (a primary sugar found in mammalian milk). Also to help digest yogurt, milk products and cheese.
NEW! Glucoamylase Is used to breakdown carbohydrates, specifically polysaccharides, simple sugars. Many new dog treats have hidden sugar.

Poor Quality Food:

Many pet owners do not understand the importance of carefully choosing the best food for their dog.

A raw food diet can help, but this is not always convenience. So the next best thing is to first give your dog the highest quality food that you can afford.

Then use Total-zymes® because when using natural vegetarian enzymes on your pet's food this makes it the closest to a raw food diet as you can get.

pet enzymes

The primary purpose of enzymes in supplement form is to enhance the enzymes available in raw food, and replace those enzymes lost when food is cooked or processed. In addition, supplementation enables more digestion to begin in the gastric region, easing the burden on the digestive system as a whole.

Taking a vegetarian supplemental enzyme can help take stress off not only their digestive organs especially the pancreas.

.
ENZYMES FOR BETTER DIGESTION:

Total-Zymes® is THE ONLY pet enzyme formula that has 16 digestive enzymes and a delivery system.

By using Total-zymes® this will help with stool problems. It will also help making the stool smaller and you can feed your dog less because they will be digesting more food. .

Every pet can benefit from supplementation with enzymes. Even healthy pets may improve their absorption and utilization of nutrients through the use of digestive enzymes.

By using a supplemental enzyme on your pet's food you free up their body's digestive system. This helps with constipation or loose stools.

pet enzymes

Always check the labels: some enzyme products put beet root fiber in their formula as a filler. But yet they say they use no fillers read the label. This is an controversial ingredient that is made from sugar beets and put into dog products as a fiber filler. Avoid supplements with Beet root fiber.

Total-Zymes® use beet root juice not fiber. The beet root juice in the product is not from sugar beets and supports the liver and the digestion process.

One of the most asked questions is; Can I use this product for a mineral supplement?

Answer is, NO! The minerals that are in the L.E.A.D.S® Delivery System are only for activating the enzymes. After the enzymes do their job threr are no minerals left. So there are no minerals left to add any to your pet's diet.

Total-Zymes® for pets has a very unique delivery system. Without this L.E.A.D.S.® Delivery System the enzymes would deplete your pet of much needed minerals and it would not delivery quickly and not be as efficient. All enzymes need minerals to do their job. NWC Naturals® are the experts and are the only company that uses this unique blend of minerals in their delivery system to support your pet’s body.

Products without this delivery system would deplete your pet of their minerals.

Live Enzyme Activated Delivery System®. L.E.A.D.S.® insures complete digestion and assimilation of all your pets food at a cellular level. That's what sets Total-Zymes® apart from the rest. IT WORKS!

Can enzymes take the stress off my pets pancreas?

Yes:  The primary benefit is in shifting a portion of the digestive burden from pancreatic enzymes in the intestine to fungal enzymes in the stomach. Continued supplementation over a period of days activates a feedback system to the pancreas, signaling it to decrease production of its enzymes. This allows the pancreas, primarily an endocrine organ, to conserve its cellular machinery for production of insulin and glucagon; which are important in blood glucose maintenance.
